The Pier Residence

The Pier Residence is LMD's residential project in Dubai Maritime City, which LMD presents as "a waterfront sanctuary where effortlessness meets waterfront chic". LMD's brochure says the building "rises up in a fusion of nautical design and natural beauty": its form mimics a wave's crest, and private balconies cascade down the front facade, giving each residence unobstructed views and a vantage point for al fresco dining and entertaining. The homes are one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments. Each of LMD's published layouts has a balcony and built-in wardrobes, and the three-bedroom layouts add a maid's room and a private pool on the terrace; LMD's launch announcement said select units would offer private pools. LMD's brochure describes a smart home system that controls light dimmers, air conditioning, a video doorbell and curtains from a phone, fitted kitchens with integrated appliances, spa-inspired bathrooms and 3.6-metre ceilings with a full-height thermal glazing system. It names Arkiplan as architect and J2 Design as interior designer. For residents, LMD plans a rooftop deck and pool with panoramic views of the Dubai skyline and the Arabian Gulf, an infinity pool, a residents' lounge, a padel court, a yoga studio, a walking and jogging track with waterfront views, an indoor kids' play area and a gym that LMD says will feature Life Fitness and Technogym equipment. These facilities are planned for a building that is still under construction. LMD puts the project 12 minutes from Downtown Dubai, 15 minutes from Dubai Marina, 20 minutes from Dubai International Airport and 25 minutes from Expo City. When it launched the project in September 2024, LMD announced 274 homes and a handover target of Q2 2027. Its construction update published in September 2026 reports overall progress of 53%, with the substructure at 100% and the superstructure at 98%.
