UAE Rents Surge as Ajman Sees Increases of More Than 50%
Rental prices in Ajman have surged by more than 50 per cent in some neighbourhoods during the first half of 2026, marking one of the sharpest increases across the UAE as demand continues to outpace supply.
According to new market data, apartment rents in several areas of the emirate have recorded significant year-on-year growth, driven by affordability pressures pushing residents beyond Dubai and Sharjah. The rapid rise comes as neighbouring Abu Dhabi has introduced a temporary freeze on rent increases, highlighting the contrasting conditions across the country's rental markets.
Despite the sharp increases in Ajman, analysts say the emirate continues to offer comparatively affordable housing, attracting tenants seeking lower living costs while demand for quality residential stock remains strong across the UAE.
