UAE Expands Its Global Investment Reach Through New Germany Partnership

The UAE has announced plans to invest €40 billion in Germany, marking a major expansion of the economic relationship between the two countries.
The investment will target sectors including advanced technology, artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure, energy and industry, with €10 billion allocated to Bavaria.

The announcement coincides with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s state visit to Germany and builds on €34 billion already invested in the country. A new UAE-German Investment Council is also planned to support longer-term cooperation.

For the UAE, this is not simply an overseas capital commitment. It provides greater access to German industrial expertise, research and technology while creating opportunities that could support growth across the Gulf, Asia and Africa.

It also reflects a broader investment strategy focused on industries expected to shape the next stage of global economic growth.
