Sydney Approves $3.5 Billion Twin Tower Development to Reshape the CBD Skyline

Sydney's CBD is set for a major transformation after planning approval was granted for a $3.5 billion twin-tower development that will deliver two 82-storey residential skyscrapers in the heart of the city. The landmark project will reshape the skyline whilst adding new homes, a luxury hotel and public spaces.

Located near Hyde Park, the Castlereagh Place development will feature 607 apartments, a 209-room hotel, new retail and hospitality venues, and approximately 1,000 square metres of landscaped public space, creating a new mixed-use destination within the CBD.

Designed by fjcstudio and backed by Billbergia Group and Metrics CreditPartners, the towers will become Sydney's tallest residential buildings upon completion.

Amenities will include wellness facilities, a cinema, concierge services and Australia's highest rooftop swimming pool.

Demolition is already underway, with major construction expected to take several years due to the complexity of the site.

The project reflects continued confidence in Sydney's premium apartment market and the growing demand for high-density developments that combine residential, hospitality and public amenities in prime CBD locations.
