Dubai’s $5 Billion Moon Project Moves Closer to Reality With Global Partner

Dubai’s proposed Moon development has taken another step forward, with Rider Levett Bucknall appointed as programme manager and cost consultant for Moon Smart City developments worldwide.

The $5 billion concept centres on a 274-metre replica of the Moon, combining 4,000 hotel suites, 300 private residences, a 10,000-seat arena and an immersive lunar experience designed to simulate walking on the Moon.

The appointment gives the project access to global expertise in planning, cost management and large-scale construction. However, its Dubai location and construction timeline are yet to be confirmed.

This update is significant because it moves the project further beyond early concept designs and towards the detailed planning needed for delivery. If developed, Moon could add another major tourism and hospitality destination to Dubai’s property landscape.
