Dubai Property Market Delivers AED286 Billion in First-Half Sales Despite More Selective Conditions
Dubai’s property market recorded AED286.4 billion (US$78 billion) in sales during the first half of 2026, making it the second-highest first-half result on record and reinforcing the emirate’s position as one of the world’s leading real estate markets.
More than 86,000 transactions were completed during the six-month period, with continued demand across both residential and commercial sectors. Off-plan properties remained the primary driver of activity, supported by flexible payment plans, while the ready market also performed strongly as end-user demand remained resilient.
Although transaction volumes have become more measured following several years of rapid expansion, sales values remain exceptionally strong, highlighting continued confidence from both local and international investors. Rising mortgage activity also points to a broader and more diversified buyer base.
With a significant development pipeline underway and continued investment in infrastructure and economic growth, Dubai's property market remains well positioned for sustained long-term performance, even as it transitions into a more balanced phase.
