🇨🇳 China's housing market continues to face challenges, with new-home prices declining for the 21st consecutive month in February. New-home prices across 70 mainland cities fell 0.1% month-on-month and 5.2% year-on-year, reflecting ongoing softness in the sector. Second-hand homes showed similar trends, dropping 0.3% month-on-month and 7.5% annually.

However, the top-tier cities—Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen—saw modest new-home price increases of 0.1%, indicating some resilience.

Given China's economy comprises 19% of the world's GDP, this is an important country to watch. Ongoing property price falls in China could become concerning, especially as the country's mounting debt levels could have significant implications for global financial markets and trading partners. Will this downward trend in the property market continue?
